GREATER WEST SHORE KIWANIS CLUB
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The Kiwanis of West Shore Foundation is administrated by a Board of Directors elected from the Kiwanis of Greater West Shore Club. A scholarship committee is appointed by this Board to select the recipients of the scholarships. The scholarships will be presented to selected students belonging to the school’s Key Club from Camp Hill, Cedar Cliff, Cumberland Valley, Red Land and Trinity High Schools.
The applicant must have been accepted for admission to an accredited college/university/school that offers a two (2) or four (4) year degree/certificate program.
The applicant must attach a picture to the application that may be used for publicity purposes and will not be returned.
The scholarships will be publicized through official publications of the Kiwanis Club, local media, and through guidance counselors at each of the high schools.
Scholarship payment in the amount of One Thousand Five Hundred dollars ($1,500.00) will be made directly to the college/university/school in which the recipient is enrolled. In the event the enrollment is not complete or the applicant withdraws before the end of the first year, the institution will be directed to return the funds to the Foundation.
Application Requirements
Deadline – Applications must be postmarked by the school counselor no later than April 5, 2024. Applications should be submitted to the senior guidance counselor at your school. Winners will be selected by the committee appointed by the Kiwanis of West Shore Foundation Board by May 1 and will be notified at the Awards Ceremony at each school.
Scholarships – The basis for these awards shall be academics, leadership, and community service. The award will be in the amount of One Thousand Five Hundred ($1,500.00) dollars.

In addition to this application, applicants must submit the following information attached to the application. Note: Incomplete applications and attachments will NOT be considered.

A high school transcript including the first two marking periods of the senior year.

A letter of recommendation from the guidance counselor written on high school stationery.

A letter of acceptance from the college/university/school that you will be attending.

A list of school activities participated in by the applicant, offices held and honors received.

A listing, with a short description, of experiences of community service and Key Club activities.
